When opening the CBAM assessment, you can see the introductory question “Can you confirm that your company does not sell any products affected by CBAM to [customer name]?”. Please answer this question with “No”, as your customer has already identified that he has bought CBAM relevant products from you. Therefore, he has sent you this CBAM questionnaire.  

To fill out the CBAM assessment, the following 3 steps are necessary: 

- Download MS-Excel Template from quarter.

This Excel file is pre-filled with information from your customer (for example article details, importer information). Please do not add or change any pre-filled information and only add data in the white and empty fields.

- Enter the CBAM product data in the MS-Excel Template.

- Save file and upload in corresponding drop-zone.

As your customer has to hand-in a quarterly report, you can see for each quarter if your customer has requested any data from you. Please always download the pre-filled MS-Excel Template from the respective quarter and upload it to the correct drop-zone per “drag-and-drop” or “select file” of this quarter.  

Different flags show you the status for each quarter:

  • Not requested: For this quarter, your customer has not imported any CBAM goods from you and no data collection is needed. 
  • Requested: For this quarter, your customer has imported CBAM goods from you and data is requested. Please follow the above-mentioned 3 steps. 
  • Completed: You have successfully completed the data request, and the data is transferred to your customer. 
  • Outdated: Your customer has requested data from you, and you have not yet uploaded the complete information. Please fill out the MS-Excel Template and upload it in the respective drop-zone.  

After having uploaded the completed template, click on “Save” at the bottom of page. Then you have finished the assessment for your customer.
