What is the European Union Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR)?

EUDR stands for European Union Deforestation-free Regulation. It is a regulation aimed at addressing global deforestation and forest degradation by reducing the EU’s contribution to these issues. It is in effect since June 2023. The regulation focuses on 7 commodities and related products which are linked to deforestation and forest degradation, ensuring that goods sold produced in the EU, imported in the EU and exported from the EU are not contributing to deforestation.
