After you have filled out the MS-Excel upload template, you need to go back to your IntegrityNext profile and the respective CBAM assessment request of your customer, where you have downloaded the prefilled template. Please upload the file into the drop zone of the assessment or click on “select file”.
After that, our system is running an automated validation of your data, and a new window will open automatically to help you check if all the entered data is correct. Here is an explanation of this validation window:
- In general, you can see that the columns of the MS-Excel template with your input have been identically transferred to IntegrityNext. You can scroll to the right side to see all columns.
- There are three different buttons on the top left side of the window:
- “Go to Error” button: You can click on it to review any detected errors. The system will automatically guide you to the exact field where an error was detected. If there are no errors, the button will be disabled, and you can proceed to submit the assessment.
- “All rows”: When this view is activated, all rows are displayed that have also been included in your MS-Excel template.
- “Error row”: You can see the number of errors that have been detected. When this view is activated, only the rows where errors have been detected are displayed. Rows without any errors are not displayed.
- When clicking on the respective fields, you can see further information like search bars, drop-down options or further guidance (like “This field cannot be edited”).
- If you would like to stop your data correction process, you can click on the “Back” button on the bottom right side. However, you will lose the corrections that you have already made, and you need to upload your MS-Excel upload template again.
- To avoid that any corrections get lost, you can also click on the “Export as Excel” button at the top right side of the window. You can correct your errors there as well and upload the corrected version again to IntegrityNext.
- If all errors have been corrected, you can continue with your submission by clicking on the “Complete Import” button on the bottom right side of the window.
Please proceed with these steps to run your correction process and finalize your CBAM submission:
- Please click on the “Go to Error” button at the top left of the screen to review any detected errors. The system will automatically guide you to the field where an error needs to be corrected. If there are numerous errors, please click on this button several times to be guided to all errors.
If there are no errors, the button will be disabled, and you can proceed to submit the assessment.
-
Please correct the detected error. Fields with incorrect or incomplete information are highlighted in red.
We also display an error message and what should be corrected. Here are some examples:
- Columns with required information to finalize submission, for example supplier contact details, electricity consumed or direct & indirect embedded emissions.
- Columns for which an option of the drop-down menu needs to be selected, for example aggregated goods category or production method.
- Column “Email of contact person”: The input is invalid. Please enter a valid email address, e.g. max@company.com. Please only enter one email address here.
- Columns that are required only if the CBAM good is electricity (CN-code 27160000), for example Source of Emission Factor for Direct Emissions. Otherwise, these columns are not editable.
-
If you do not know or have specific information or datapoints available, which are requested in the MS-Excel template, as a first step, please try to find this information. Either check internally within your company (for example for contact details or factory information) or get in contact with your customer who requested the CBAM information.
If this was not successful, you can also enter “not available” in fields where no number or ID is requested. In fields where numbers are requested (for example installation ID, electricity consumed or emission factors), please enter “0” if you cannot provide the data.
These are the most important fields within the template:
- Column AC “Production Method Description” -> Please choose from drop-down menu
- Column AT “Specific Direct Embedded Emissions”
- Column BG “Specific Indirect Embedded Emissions”
- Column BJ “Total Specific Embedded Emissions – sum”
Please make sure that these columns are filled out.
- If all errors have been corrected, you can continue with your submission by clicking on the “Complete Import” button on the bottom right side of the window. Another window will appear where you need to confirm “Upload”.
- After that, the validation window will close, and you are back in the IntegrityNext CBAM assessment. Now you can see your file in the drop-zone with the status “Pending Submission” in yellow. To finalize your submission, please do not forget to click on the “Send” button at the bottom of the page.
- After these steps, you are finished with your CBAM reporting requirements and the data is automatically transferred to your customer. You are redirected to your CBAM assessment overview and the status of your CBAM request from your customer changed to “completed”.
